K16 Student Orientation Week at TVU – An Essential Preparation for the New Academic Year

The beginning-of-year Student Orientation Week is a particularly meaningful activity, enabling students of Trưng Vương University (TVU) to grasp key information, receive ideological guidance, and understand their rights and responsibilities throughout their study and training at the university. It also offers K16 freshmen the opportunity to quickly integrate into the university environment, equipping them with a solid foundation for their new journey.

Political and Ideological Education for Students

On the second day of Orientation Week, Dr. Hoàng Văn Bình – Vice Rector, together with Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hoàn – Dean of the Faculty of General Studies, delivered a special session on political and ideological education. The content not only helped students understand the importance of political awareness and a healthy lifestyle but also encouraged them to adopt a serious learning attitude and a strong sense of community responsibility.

Specialized Session on Cybersecurity and Online Safety

Continuing the program, representatives from the PA03 Division of the Hanoi Police Department presented the topic “Cybersecurity and Online Safety.” With many real-world examples, the session raised students’ awareness of digital risks – from online scams and account impersonation to personal data protection. As a result, students gained essential skills to protect themselves and to use the Internet safely and responsibly.

Dissemination of Student Regulations, Rules, and Policies

In the final part of the program, M.A. Trịnh Minh Trường – Vice Rector, and M.A. Nguyễn Thị Hồng Phương – Head of the Student Affairs Department, outlined the regulations related to students’ rights and obligations. These included academic regulations, training and disciplinary rules, as well as various support policies, scholarships, and welfare programs. This framework is crucial for freshmen to clearly understand the legal boundaries, fulfill their responsibilities, and fully exercise their rights during their time at TVU.

A Foundation for a New Journey

The knowledge and insights shared during Orientation Week have become essential tools for K16 students to build awareness, responsibility, and holistic development goals. This serves as a solid foundation, enabling them to confidently accompany the university, embrace knowledge, and conquer new milestones on their academic journey.
