On January 3, 2023, in Hanoi, Trung Vuong University (TVU) hosted a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between TVU and Nan Kai University of Science and Technology (NKUT).
Attending the signing ceremony from TVU were:
- Assoc. Prof. Phan Trong Phuc, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors;
- Dr. Nguyen Huy Oanh, President of TVU;
- Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Vice President of TVU;
- Dr. Tang Van Tien, Vice President of TVU.
Representing NKUT were:
- Mrs. Wen Shu Ying, Head of the International Cooperation Office;
- Mrs. Lin Mei Zhu, Head of the Department of Restaurant Management;
- Mr. Huang De Shao, Associate Professor of the Department of Automotive Technology;
- Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lan, Advisor for Admissions Consultancy in Vietnam at the International Cooperation Office.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Huy Oanh, the President, provided a brief overview of the university’s educational and research activities, as well as its past cooperation efforts and future development directions. He outlined steps toward becoming a multidisciplinary university, focusing on training high-quality human resources in fields such as Language, Engineering, Economics, Society, and Health.
The President expressed gratitude to the leadership of NKUT for their willingness to collaborate with TVU in supporting the training of high-quality human resources, which the university aspires to achieve in the future. He emphasized that this collaboration would create opportunities for both parties to leverage their strengths, promoting long-term and sustainable development.
The content of the MOU between TVU and NKUT includes:
- Organizing research workshops and consultations between the two institutions;
- Exchanging faculty and staff and inviting guest lecturers to implement collaborative plans and organize research and teaching workshops;
- Jointly organizing exchange activities and research conferences on mutually interested topics;
- Developing scholarship plans and research scholarships between the two universities;
- Exploring new teaching programs, curricula, and research methods;
- Organizing management courses on health-related topics between the two parties;
- Jointly organizing cooperation projects and recruiting students between the two parties.
The signing ceremony of the MOU between TVU and NKUT has opened comprehensive cooperation opportunities among the parties in supporting the training of high-quality human resources for society. The signing of this cooperation agreement represents a “golden opportunity” for students from both educational institutions to access practical experiences, thereby enhancing their knowledge and necessary skills in their respective fields after graduation.
