On April 11, 2023, Trung Vuong University hosted a working session with Mr. Choi Jae Jin, Director of the Hanoi Office of the Korea Foundation (KF), to explore future cooperation opportunities.

During the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Vice President of Trung Vuong University, announced: “In response to the growing demand for Korean language professionals, Trung Vuong University established the Faculty of Korean Language in November 2022. We anticipate enrolling approximately 100 students in the inaugural year of this faculty.”
Mr. Choi Jae Jin expressed: “KF initiated its relationship with Vietnam in 1994 by supporting Korean language education at universities. To date, KF has assisted 53 Vietnamese universities and colleges in Korean studies. Trung Vuong University will be the 54th institution to collaborate with KF in enhancing Korean language education.”
Vietnam ranks as the second-largest beneficiary globally, following the United States, in KF’s support for Korean studies projects. KF’s initiatives in Vietnam span various areas, including dispatching Korean educators to Vietnamese universities, offering scholarships for study in Korea, sponsoring educational resources, establishing “Korea Corners,” and facilitating job opportunities by connecting Korean enterprises with local universities.
Aside from students specializing in Korean language, Trung Vuong University also welcomes students from other disciplines choosing Korean as their second language. The university aims to position the Faculty of Korean Language as pivotal in its strategic development plan.
Since 2022, Vietnam and Korea have elevated their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership, fostering increased Korean investment in Vietnam. Presently, approximately 9,500 Korean enterprises operate nationwide, underscoring extensive opportunities for Korean language graduates.
