During the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony on May 6, 2024, between Trung Vuong University and Xiengkhouang Province in Laos, both parties agreed upon mutually beneficial terms and policies. One of these initiatives is Trung Vuong University’s scholarship program aimed at supporting students from Xiengkhouang Province.
Dr. Nguyen Huy Oanh, President of Trung Vuong University, and the representative of Xiengkhouang Province signed the cooperation agreement.
The scholarship program signifies a significant highlight in the growing cooperative relationship between Trung Vuong University and Xiengkhouang Province in Laos. With the goal of fostering educational and training development, Trung Vuong University has decided to grant nearly 100 scholarships to students from Xiengkhouang Province, categorized as follows:
- 25 scholarships covering 50% of tuition fees for students in fields such as Finance, Banking, Accounting, E-commerce, Economic Law, and Information Technology.
- 30 scholarships covering 50% of tuition fees for students in fields like English Language, Nursing, and Multimedia Communication.
- 20 scholarships covering 30% of tuition fees for students across 14 undergraduate programs at Trung Vuong University.
- 20 scholarships covering 30% of tuition fees for master’s students in fields such as Economic Management and Economic Law.
Additionally, students from Xiengkhouang Province will receive free dormitory accommodation at the main campus (Tam Duong, Vinh Phuc, Vietnam).
These scholarships not only serve as encouragement but also provide significant motivation for students from Xiengkhouang Province. They underscore Trung Vuong University’s commitment to supporting and extending educational opportunities to younger generations, particularly students from Laos.
Alongside the scholarship awards, the MOU signing ceremony established new terms and cooperative policies aimed at creating more favorable conditions for study and research among students and faculty from both institutions. This not only enhances cooperation between the two parties but also strengthens the enduring friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
