International cooperation, particularly bilateral ties between Vietnam and Laos, plays a pivotal role in supporting, connecting, and fostering economic development. Recognizing this, Trung Vuong University has prioritized forging educational cooperation agreements to explore fresh collaboration prospects and enhance training quality.
After six months of exchanging information on cooperation between the parties involved, on May 6, 2024, Trung Vuong University’s leadership convened in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to sign a memorandum of understanding for collaboration with Xiengkhouang Province, Laos, aimed at cultivating excellent human resources. This marks a significant stride in educational cooperation between the two entities.
During the meeting, Mr. Bua Ngan Hum Xay Nha Phom, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Provincial Governor, warmly welcomed the delegation. Discussions covered various sectors such as economics, politics, and social aspects of Xiengkhouang Province, reflecting hospitality, trust, and hopes for new avenues of cooperation that will contribute to enhancing education quality and human resource development for the province.
Following Xiengkhouang Province’s remarks, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ninh, Vice Chairman of Trung Vuong University’s Board of Directors, expressed pride and delight in witnessing the robust connection between the university and Xiengkhouang Province, Laos. Educational collaboration represents a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, fostering new learning opportunities for students and staff alike. He extended sincere gratitude for the support and cooperation from Xiengkhouang Province, Laos, with hopes that this partnership will yield long-term success and mutual benefits.
During the session, Dr. Nguyen Huy Oanh, President of Trung Vuong University, provided an overview of the university, its majors, and activities for Laotian students studying there.
Following detailed discussions on cooperation, both parties agreed on a draft memorandum of understanding in Vietnamese and Lao languages, aiming to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation.
Upon agreement on the memorandum, both parties finalized and signed the cooperation agreement in education and training between Trung Vuong University and Xiengkhouang Province, Laos.
This memorandum not only underscores the development of Vietnam-Laos cooperation but also promises learning opportunities for residents of Xiengkhouang Province.
After the signing ceremony, Trung Vuong University representatives presented commemorative gifts to Xiengkhouang Province’s leadership, symbolizing the enduring friendship between Vietnam and Laos. In return, Xiengkhouang Province presented a painting depicting Laos’ landscape as a token of gratitude, expressing hopes for mutual contributions to fostering a robust academic and cultural community.
