On November 27, 2024, Trung Vuong University held a pivotal virtual meeting with Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SDUTCM), China, to explore collaboration opportunities. The meeting, facilitated by the Business Association of Vietnam in China and led by its President, Dr. Tra My, aimed to foster partnerships in Nursing, Pharmacy, and Chinese language education.

During the meeting, Dr. Pham Nhu Nghe, Vice President of Trung Vuong University, presented the institution’s strengths in Nursing and Pharmacy. He proposed initiatives such as joint training programs, student exchanges, and collaborative research projects.

Professor Jin Yilan, Dean of the International Education College at SDUTCM, provided an overview of her university’s accomplishments, particularly in Nursing, Pharmacy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She expressed strong support for Trung Vuong University’s proposals and highlighted the potential for comprehensive collaboration.
Professors Wang Shiyuan and Rong Rong from SDUTCM elaborated on their specialized programs, emphasizing internship and research opportunities. In response, Trung Vuong University suggested collaborative programs such as 2+2 and 3+1 academic pathways and proposed Chinese language training for students in medical fields to strengthen their expertise.

Associate Professors Ngo Quang Son and Nguyen Van Ru of Trung Vuong University proposed joint research in medicinal materials and pharmaceutical technology, emphasizing the importance of faculty and student exchanges to enhance academic quality.
The meeting concluded with both universities expressing appreciation for the collaborative spirit and reaffirming their commitment to advancing the proposed initiatives. Secretaries from both institutions will coordinate the next steps to refine and implement the plans through official correspondence.
This successful meeting set the stage for effective and sustainable collaboration between Trung Vuong University and Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, paving the way for impactful advancements in education and research.
