Hanoi Implements Roadmap to Restrict Gasoline Motorbikes: TV-UNI Students Proactively Adapt by Embracing Green Transportation

Hanoi is preparing to enforce its roadmap to restrict gasoline-powered motorbikes in the inner-city area starting from July 1, 2026, aiming to establish a “low-emission zone” and improve air quality. This policy is expected to directly affect residents who live, study, and work in the city center—especially students who rely heavily on daily commuting

TV-UNI Students Proactively Shift Toward Green Transportation

In the new academic year, Trung Vuong University introduced a support policy for freshmen by offering VinFast Motio electric motorbikes as enrollment gifts. This model aligns well with the trend of sustainable mobility, enabling students to travel conveniently as Hanoi gradually restricts gasoline vehicles.

Early adoption of green transportation reflects TV-UNI students’ readiness to adapt to changes in the city’s transportation infrastructure.

Eligibility Criteria for Receiving a VinFast Motio Electric Bike

(Applicable only for Academic Year 2025–2026)

Students are eligible to receive the electric motorbike if they meet one of the following conditions:

• Apply to Trung Vuong University as their first-choice (NV1) and complete payment for the first semester’s tuition.
• Apply under NV1, NV2, or NV3, enroll on August 22, 2025, and complete the first semester’s tuition payment.

This gifting policy aims to support students in adapting early to environmentally friendly modes of transportation.

Spreading a Spirit of Responsibility and Adaptation Among Students

Transitioning to electric vehicles not only brings practical benefits in mobility but also contributes to building the image of environmentally conscious, proactive TV-UNI students. It also reflects the University’s commitment to accompanying students under the motto of “Professionalism and Integration.”

During the recent gift ceremony, Nguyen Si Minh, a K16 Communication major, shared his thoughts after receiving the electric motorbike:

“Recently I’ve read many articles saying that Hanoi will soon restrict gasoline bikes to reduce pollution, so I’ve started paying more attention to eco-friendly transportation. When I received the electric bike from the University, I felt this is a very practical way for us to begin changing our commuting habits. It aligns with the city’s direction and helps us be more prepared for upcoming regulations. I truly feel the University’s concern for environmental issues and timely support for students, which gives me confidence and motivation to study harder.”

This initiative clearly demonstrates Trung Vuong University’s commitment to promoting a green lifestyle within the student community. The University remains steadfast in its educational philosophy tied to sustainable development, thereby fostering a civilized, responsible, and environmentally friendly learning environment.
