On the morning of January 26, 2026, the campus of Trung Vuong University came alive with the joyful atmosphere of preparations for the Lunar New Year. The annual program “Spring of Love – Tet of Connection 2026” was held in a vibrant and heartfelt spirit, bringing together a large number of Vietnamese students and Lao students currently studying at the University.

The program aimed to preserve and promote the nation’s cherished cultural values. Through a series of experiential activities, TVUNI students had the opportunity to gain deeper insights into Vietnamese Tet traditions. In particular, the Vietnam–Laos friendship was naturally and warmly expressed, becoming a meaningful part of student life under the roof of Trung Vuong University.

The event also created a warm space for cultural exchange, helping international students feel the University’s care and sharing as the Lunar New Year of the Binh Ngo year approached.
From early morning, the festive Tet atmosphere spread across the campus. The clear laughter of students blended with the fresh green of dong leaves, creating a vibrant spring scene full of life. Meaningful activities of the festival included:
-
Traditional Chung Cake Wrapping Contest: Vietnamese and Lao students gathered around together to prepare ingredients. Each neatly wrapped square cake symbolized unity and close bonds between the two nations.
-
Tet Fire Stove Gathering: After wrapping, the pots of chung cakes were set over glowing fires. Moments spent together watching the cakes cook became unforgettable memories, bringing warmth to both hands and hearts.
-
Lively Cultural Exchange: Simple yet emotional cultural performances and joyful folk games helped erase geographical distance. Commemorative photos captured the youthful energy and enthusiasm of the TVUNI student community.

Afterwards, the freshly cooked green chung cakes were personally presented to lecturers and Lao students. Though small in size, these gifts carried heartfelt wishes for a peaceful and happy New Year, reflecting the University’s fine tradition of solidarity and mutual support. The aroma and warmth of early Tet continued to spread throughout TVUNI.
On this occasion, we wish all staff members, lecturers, and students a peaceful, happy, and joyful Binh Ngo spring.
