The field study trip to Mong Cai, Tra Co (Quang Ninh, Vietnam) and Dongxing (China) by students of the Faculty of Tourism, Trung Vuong University, has concluded with many valuable professional experiences. The 2-day, 1-night journey from March 15 to March 16, 2026, provided students with an opportunity to step beyond textbooks and directly engage with the real-world operations of international tourism.

Cross-border professional experience
A key highlight of this program was the hands-on practice of immigration and customs procedures at the International Border Gate. Through this activity, students gained practical insights into managing international tours, from handling documentation to coordinating with transportation providers and accommodation partners abroad.

At destinations such as Mong Cai and Dongxing, students conducted analyses of digital business operations and explored on-site service coordination. These foundational experiences help students better understand the tourism supply chain within the “smokeless industry.”

Practical training in operations and event organization
Throughout the trip, students of the Faculty of Tourism actively participated in various professional activities:
- Tour operation management: Learning how to coordinate transportation, manage schedules, and directly organize a Gala Dinner program.
- Event organization: Practicing event management and Team Building activities to enhance engagement between students and faculty.
- Problem-solving skills: Developing competencies in risk management, cost control, and customer service in real-life scenarios.
- Product development: Gaining hands-on experience in designing tour programs and developing marketing strategies to promote tours across communication channels.

The field experience in both Vietnam and China not only equipped students with flexible problem-solving skills but also deepened their understanding of the relationships between travel agencies and service providers. These practical experiences serve as essential preparation, enabling students of Trung Vuong University to confidently meet labor market demands upon graduation.
