Signing Ceremony for Cooperation Agreement between LG Display Hai Phong and Trung Vuong University

Recently, leaders from Trung Vuong University visited and held discussions with LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong, a subsidiary of LG Display Corporation in South Korea renowned for producing OLED and POLED display products used in electronic devices such as TVs, phones, automobiles, smartwatches, and IT devices.

Annually, the company faces significant demand for high-quality human resources, especially in fields like information technology, electrical and electronic engineering, and Korean language and culture, offering competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits packages.

Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Vice President of Trung Vuong University, emphasized that promoting cooperation between the university and enterprises is a crucial strategy in the university’s educational activities. Collaboration with LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong will create employment opportunities for Trung Vuong University’s students after graduation.

Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh further emphasized, “To better connect students with their studies and the real world, the university will integrate more experiential activities into its courses. In the future, university departments will actively seek suitable business partners to strengthen the bond between industry and educational institutions, providing students with internship opportunities and practical work experience in enterprises.”

Regarding human resources strategy at LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu, Head of Recruitment, stated that the company faces substantial annual recruitment needs. Therefore, in addition to recruitment activities, the company collaborates with various universities. Cooperation with universities in training and recruiting human resources is crucial for enterprises to maintain a stable workforce.

Mr. Hieu also mentioned that altering the approach to recruiting human resources includes providing training before internships, allowing students to understand and effectively perform during their internships; participating in professional modules within university curricula; and organizing direct recruitment events at universities. This approach not only helps the company secure its workforce but also ensures the selection of high-quality, well-trained employees.

It is noteworthy that LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong also awards valuable scholarships annually to encourage outstanding students, especially those pursuing advanced training programs or master’s degrees in South Korea before joining the company officially.

In the near future, both parties will agree on specific plans to enhance students’ career experiences through practical internships, guiding and nurturing their professional passion. Dialogue sessions with experts or internship programs at companies will be organized. Collaboration between enterprises and educational institutions also facilitates students’ learning paths while studying at Trung Vuong University.
