On the morning of November 15, 2025, in a warm and dignified atmosphere, Trưng Vương University formally organized the Celebration of its 15th Anniversary, the Commemoration of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20), and the Opening Ceremony of the 2025–2026 Academic Year. This special event marks an important milestone in the University’s 15-year journey of development, growth, and affirmation of its position within Vietnam’s higher education system.

A Dignified Atmosphere Marked by Memorable Highlights
The program began with a vibrant drum performance by Trưng Vương University students. The heroic rhythm evoked the resilient spirit of the Vietnamese people and honored the legacy of the two national heroines, the Trưng Sisters—after whom the University is proudly named.

Following the artistic performance, the ceremony proceeded with the flag-salute ritual, opening statements, and introduction of guests.
Reflecting on 15 Years – A Journey Built with Heart and Wisdom
In his emotional speech, Dr. Nguyễn Huy Oanh, President of Trưng Vương University, recalled the University’s early challenging days since its establishment under Decision No. 700/QĐ-TTg. From modest beginnings, Trưng Vương has today become an institution known for its applied orientation and close alignment with national and regional development needs.

“Trưng Vương is not just a university—it is a knowledge ecosystem, where every student is inspired, empowered, and encouraged to nurture their aspirations,” emphasized Dr. Oanh.

The sound of the ceremonial drum then marked the beginning of a new academic year filled with hope and ambition, continuing the values nurtured over the past 15 years.

Honoring Former Leaders and Founders

During the ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Duy Ninh – Vice Chairman of the University Council – delivered a tribute and presented flowers to the pioneers who laid the foundation of the University.

The presence of former Presidents, including Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Chuân and Dr. Bùi Văn Hồng, added a deeply emotional touch to the event. The bouquets presented symbolized both gratitude and recognition for their steadfast contributions. Former President Nguyễn Thanh Chuân expressed his pride: “Looking back after 15 years, Trưng Vương today is truly different—more resilient, more globally engaged, and more humanistic.”

The People’s Committee of Phú Thọ Province – presented by Mr. Hoàng Công Thắng, for outstanding achievements in the 2024–2025 academic year.


The Embassy of the Lao PDR in Vietnam – presented by Mr. Khamton Samvong, acknowledging the University’s contribution to training high-quality human resources for Laos.

The Vietnam Education Trade Union – presented by Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Ân, recognizing outstanding performance in emulation movements.
