March 6, 2025 – Students from Trung Vuong University’s Faculty of Tourism successfully organized the “Elite Talent” Badminton Tournament, a standout event as part of their Soft Skills 2 course project. The tournament drew enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, creating an exciting and dynamic atmosphere across the university.
More than just a sports competition, the event served as a practical exercise in event management, allowing Tourism students to hone essential skills such as planning, coordination, teamwork, and problem-solving. From initial conceptualization to execution, they applied their classroom knowledge to a real-world scenario, demonstrating both professionalism and creativity.
The tournament featured 12 teams competing in a mixed doubles format, highlighting the growing popularity of badminton among students. The strong turnout also underscored the university community’s commitment to supporting student-led initiatives.
Ms. Ta Thi Hang from the Faculty of Tourism expressed her pride in the students’ achievements:
“Organizing a large-scale sports event like this requires students to master a wide range of skills—from time management and logistics to communication and crisis resolution. It’s a fantastic learning experience that goes beyond the classroom.”
Reflecting on the experience, Tran Thanh Nam, a member of the organizing committee, shared:
“Planning and managing this tournament has given us a deeper understanding of teamwork, organization, and adaptability. We’re incredibly grateful for the university’s support throughout the process.”
As the tournament enters its final rounds, the winners and top-performing players will soon be announced on Trung Vuong University’s official platforms.
